What’s Volo’s Code of Conduct?

Volo should be a place where people can compete, connect, and have fun while feeling welcome and respected.

Our community standard is built around kindness, respect, sportsmanship, fair play, honesty, safety, and creating a welcoming environment.

We ask everyone who is part of the Volo experience, including players, captains, staff, officials, and others representing our community, to help uphold those standards.

What Does That Look Like?

Whether you’re playing, officiating, working, or supporting from the sideline, we expect our community to:

  • Treat others with kindness and respect.
  • Show good sportsmanship, win or lose.
  • Keep conversations with players, captains, staff, and officials respectful.
  • Respect calls and decisions made during play.
  • Follow program and venue safety requirements.
  • Respect facilities, equipment, parks, and the neighborhoods where we play.
  • Help create an environment where people feel welcome to participate.

For players, this also includes checking in properly, following venue requirements, and participating according to the rules of the program.

What Isn’t Allowed?

Behavior that takes away from a safe or welcoming experience may violate Volo’s standards.

That includes:

  • Bullying, harassment, intimidation, ridicule, or discriminatory behavior.
  • Aggressive or inappropriate physical contact.
  • Violence or threats of violence.
  • Derogatory or abusive language.
  • Intentionally damaging Volo or venue property.
  • Behavior toward players, staff, officials, or others that becomes unsafe, threatening, or seriously disruptive.

These expectations apply to Volo-related interactions both in person and online.

What Happens When a Concern Is Reported?

We take concerns seriously, whether they involve a player, team, official, staff member, or another part of the Volo experience.

Sometimes that means we need a little time to understand what happened, speak with those involved, and review the information available before deciding on the appropriate next step. In some situations, we may also take immediate steps while that review is underway.

For player violations, action may include removal from play or a temporary or permanent suspension without a refund/credit.

We also expect our staff and officials to contribute to the same respectful, safe, and welcoming experience. Concerns involving someone representing Volo will be reviewed through the appropriate internal process.

Our goal is to listen, understand the full context, and respond thoughtfully and fairly while protecting the experience of everyone involved.

What If I Have a Concern?

If something happens that you believe does not meet these standards, please let your local Volo team know and share as much helpful context as you can.

We may follow up with you or others involved as we review what happened.

For the complete terms, see the Volo Code of Conduct.

***Please note: Volo is proud to bring people together through play in cities across the country. Each city has its own dedicated team focused on creating and executing amazing experiences to help build lasting connections throughout our communities. Every adult league also supports free youth programs through Volo Kids Foundation, creating more access and opportunity for the next generation.

Occasionally, there may be a short delay in our response or resolution to an issue, but please know we are committed to getting back to you as quickly as we can.

To help us respond faster, please avoid submitting multiple tickets for the same inquiry as this can delay our ability to assist you. Thank you for your patience and for being part of the Volo community.
